Guidelines & Information

The Urban Forestry Division (UFD) is home to most of the City's urban forest managers and arborists. The Division is proud that the majority of its managers and supervisors have obtained certification by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) as well as other certifications like Certified Urban Forester.

UFD is responsible for creation and development of street tree policies as well as ensuring the public is aware of these policies and other policies, standards, and guidelines in the urban forest profession. Additionally, the Division must stay abreast of other City agency policies that affect the Division and/or City residents regarding street trees and private property trees.
