Patrick Conahan has been in law enforcement since 1983 and is currently a sergeant with the Oceanside Police Department in Oceanside, California. He was originally trained as an educator, holds a Master's Degree in education from UCLA, and has completed two years of educational doctoral work as well as post-graduate work in criminal justice courses. Patrick has taught for over 20 years, and has given seminars through out the country on various topics. He coordinated the first DRE School in San Diego County in 1991 and remains active in the DRE Program. Patrick is an adjunct instructor at Palomar Community College.
