Detective William K. Eddens

Detective William K. Eddens has been a Los Angeles Police Officer for the past ten years. He has worked a variety of uniform and plain clothes assignments as a law enforcement officer. Currently, he is assigned to Detectives at Pacific Area.

Detective Eddens gained his initial narcotics experience by working special details and footbeats in 77th Street, Southeast and Pacific Areas.

In 1994, he was assigned as a Training Coordinator at the Los Angeles Police Academy for in-service training courses in narcotics, vice, mid-management and command level instruction. He successfully completed the POST certified instructor development course in 1995.

Detective Eddens gives public lectures at schools, churches and as requested on substance abuse issues.

Detective Eddens attended and successfully completed the DRE course at the Long Beach Police Academy in 1992 and became an IACP certified DRE in June 1994.

Detective Eddens attended and successfully completed the DRE Instructor's course at the San Bernardino Sheriff's Academy in 1997.
