The Park Film Office accepts reservations for
filming in all parks belonging to the City of Los Angeles.
The
Park Film Office is responsible for the coordination filming
activities at all Recreation and Parks facilities. In 1999
there were 3,499 film shoots in our parks. Scenes from feature films such as Bowfinger, Mystery
Men, Austin Powers: the Spy who Shagged me, and House on Haunted
Hill were filmed in Griffith Park.
We
have hundreds of locations throughout the City with variety
of appearances. Historic homes, gyms, and classrooms are also
available. Whether it is a forest, country road, or the middle
of nowhere, it can be filmed in one of our parks. We are open
Monday - Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:30am-5:00pm. For information on obtaining permits please call (323)
