Golf Course Rules and Regulations

Rules and regulations for the L.A. City golf courses are promulgated by the Department of Recreation and Parks Board of Commissioners, per Municipal Code §63.44.

Rancho Park - Wilson - Harding - Balboa - Encino - Woodley Lakes - Hansen Dam
  1. Golfers must play without delay and comply at all times with local and USGA RULES OF GOLF.
  2. Only registered golfers are permitted on the golf course. No spectators are allowed. Caddies must be registered.
  3. Golfers may be removed from the golf course for threatening or abusive behavior, damaging the golf course, or behavior that may cause injury to themselves or others.
  4. Golfers must comply with the Course Management and/or Marshal’s instructions. Failure to do so will result in removal from the course.
  5. Every golfer must have a set of clubs, a putter, and a golf bag.
  6. The maximum number of players allowed per group is four. A maximum of two players are allowed per golf cart.
  7. Golfers may have only one ball in play (per USGA RULES OF GOLF). Practice on the golf course is prohibited.
  8. No one under 13 years of age will be allowed to play unless certified by the L.A. Department of Recreation and Parks.
  9. Golf carts must be kept 30 feet away from greens and tees and must be used in a way that does not damage the course. Pull carts must be kept off tees and greens.
  10. Proper golf attire must be worn, including appropriate golf shoes.
  11. Players must repair their divots, ball marks on greens, and rake sand bunkers.

Harbor Park
  1. Golfers must play without delay and comply at all times with local and USGA RULES OF GOLF.
