Town Hall Video 3/14/08

ITA is collaborating with LAUSD to present a Video Town Hall featuring Women in Non Traditional fields. The Video Town Hall is scheduled for March 14th during Women’s month. Few women enter the field of technology and science. The aim of this event is to inform young women of the diversity of career opportunities in the technology field and the academic avenues available to obtain a degree. 

Randi Levin - GM/ ITA, Deborah Weintraub - BOE/Chief Dep. Eng, and Rita Robinson - LADOT/GM will be participating panelists.  Moderating the event will be Kellie Hawkins from the Commission on the Status of Women. Using video technology ITA & LAUSD will be expanding their circle of influence. 8 high schools from LAUSD will participate in this event via a live video feed from the host location.   Students will be encouraged to ask questions and interact with the panelists.  This is slated to be fun and informative event.
