Strategic Programs
On July 3, 2002, the LA City Council adopted an ordinance (No. 174706) requiring that all private waste haulers collecting solid waste within the City obtain a waste hauling permit, pay an AB939 compliance fee of ten percent of gross receipts and submit an annual report. The ordinance will become effective September 1, 2002. All waste hauling commencing September 1, 2002 will be subject to the fee.
